Business Week will offer City of Wolverhampton businesses the chance to tap into a wealth of security knowledge.
The protecting your premises, people and property event takes place in the Sunbeam Suite, at Wolverhampton Racecourse, Gorsebrook Road, WV6 0PE, on Monday, September 25, between 3pm and 7pm.
It is being organised by Wolverhampton Business Crime Reduction Group (WvBCRG) and will offer workshops every hour, covering the themes of cyber security, security, fire safety and fraud protection.
Guest speakers include West Midlands Police Superintendent, Keith Fraser, McAuliffe Civil Engineering Limited Director, Anna-Maria McAuliffe, and City of Wolverhampton Council Head of Enterprise, Isobel Woods.
There will be exhibitions by West Midlands Police, West Midlands Fire Service, University of Wolverhampton, Business Solution Centre, i Secure, Vibrant, Cougar, Access to Business, and many more.
WvBCRG Chair, McAuliffe, said: “I understand the financial and personal impact of crime against a business all too well, so I urge Wolverhampton businesses to attend this event and begin taking steps to protect themselves.
“WvBCRG can show businesses how to avoid becoming victims of crime, as well as offering vital support if the worst happens.”
City of Wolverhampton Council Deputy Leader, Councillor Peter Bilson, said: “Business Week provides a platform to enhance the strong work of city partners committed to increasing support for local businesses by working together to reduce the impact of business crime - and in doing so improve the economic wellbeing of our city.”
The event is being supported by CLM Construction Supplies and Vibrant Network.
City of Wolverhampton Business Week runs from Monday, September 25 to Friday 29.
